Making books sing has officially booked over 200 workshops of Alice’s Story, our interactive anti-bullying performace and workshop, in over 30 schools and community centers! We are also proud to be listed on the New York City Council website as an organization offering anti-bullying programs.
This week, which happens to be Respect For All Week, our artists are traveling to Staten Island, Brooklyn and Queens to facilitate Alice’s Story at New World Prep Charter School, PS 177Q, and PS 369 K. We have new bookings that will bring the program to Williamsburg Charter School, Rhinelander Children’s Center and The Little Red School House in early March.
We are very excited about the lively ways this program has been effective at each site, including District 75 schools for students with special needs. Interactive theater is a powerful way to unlock new thoughts and ideas within the minds of students with developmental differences. Alice’s Story is filled with strategies to engage students in kinesthetic and active ways.
Teachers and students have experienced their classroom become a space to practice new and safe ways to protect and support ourselves and each other! We thank everyone involved in making each program happen!
