Making Books Sing is a children's theatre and arts education organization. We are passionate about exciting children, ages 4 to 14, about great literature and theatre as sources of knowledge, creative imagination, and entertainment.
At the heart of Making Books Sing are fully realized plays, musicals and operas whose artistry is as high and content as thought-provoking as fine theatre for adult audiences. Our productions are based on outstanding contemporary children's books that honor children - their struggles growing up, their cultural diversity and their intellect.
To deepen the educational impact of our productions, Making Books Sing offers literacy-based arts education programs for students, teachers and families.

Making Books Sing aims to nurture children's love for theatre and books, while inspiring their growth as creative, literate and socially minded individuals.To develop and produce professional theatre for young audiences inspired by contemporary children's books and diverse cultures.
